It’s not really rude, no one really knows what your top upload speed is or how much of it you have to be able to use. Many people out there torrenting have horrible upload and download speeds but the benefit of the torrent protocol is that a bunch of people seeding a file with horrible upload speed can still result in fast downloads for you.

The only ones who might take issue with it are private trackers who might require that people have fast uploads or upload a lot in a specific time frame.

I’m just making the observation that a lot of feddit users went into the thread and were pissed off about it happening, plus the fact that I got harassed persistently throughout the course of the vote. Those aren’t things that happen when people aren’t pissed.

If that is the case it doesn’t make sense why Feddit had such a strong and hostile reaction to the existence and progress of the vote thread.

You could always open feddit.org in a private window to check on them if you wanted. I checked recently and they seemed pretty unaware of it even happening. My guess is that they’ll be seething when they find out.

Yes a large majority of Feddit users are Zionist trolls or apologists, and Feddit explicitly allows them to be there. This is not the same thing as saying all feddit users are trolls.

Because when an instance allows and even accepts and elevates Zionist garbage and goes against anti-Zionism and antifascism the instance itself is deciding to endorse these views, and those who feel that is problematic should ban the instance from their own spaces. In addition the handling of Feddit’s own administration to the current saga has been atrocious, beyond unprofessional. And an instance managed that poorly is a prime canidate for defederation.
