  • The second meme is definitely tongue in cheek and I can see why many people might initially recoil upon seeing that. After all, most people’s only conception of “child porn” is CSAM. And yes, actual CSAM is terrible. But not all “child porn” is sexual abuse material.

It reminds me an awful lot of radfems who say that women cannot consent to sex with men because of the power imbalance, or be active, willing, enthusiastic participants in porn or other forms of sex work because it’s exploitative. The difference is that the radfem BS is relatively fringe and usually rightfully shot down as the patronizing, misogynistic nonsense it is, while the adultist BS is much more widely accepted.

I’m too tired to really elaborate right now but yeah.

  • Really goes to show how warped societal perceptions of sex are. It’s seen as this mystical thing that destroys minds that aren’t prepared to hear about it. It’s just a thing people do with their bodies. A thing that’s typically pretty intimate, sure, but intimacy isn’t that hard to understand, and sex doesn’t even have to be that intimate. Again, it’s just a thing people do with their bodies. People just attach so much extra baggage to the concepts of sex and sexuality that they lose sight of that.

Obviously understanding sex and consent and being a virtuoso musician aren’t comparable one-to-one, but if anything sex is easier to understand and execute. (I say this as a musician and composer who was sexually repressed most of their life.)

  • I don’t think anything we’ve discussed or posted here is technically illegal under US law. It’s not like we’re going around saying “I fucked a kid today!” Hell, our host server or whatever won’t even let us post kodocon, which isn’t inherently illegal in the US either despite what many people would lead you to believe.
