I understand that you think writers shouldn’t accept donations for their essays, but I personally don’t see an issue with it, so I have no reason to move to another platform. Same as I have no reason to make raddle federated because you think a site automatically pushing user data to external servers where it can never be deleted is ideologically desirable. We have different needs and desires.

Very off topic but that’s an 8 year old post. I completely left for a year, tried to transfer the site to other admins (they didn’t want it) and then they voted for me to come back because the tankies who I apologised to were, among other things, DDOSing the site, doxxing people and spreading bigotry. The admins currently are mofongo, emma (sys admin) and me. Tequila_Wolf was recently forced to leave due to a stalker who was holding the whole site hostage for a year (search the site for ‘ruminator’).

Anyway please focus on the content of the essay, I don’t want to rehash decade old drama with strangers.

I linked to the blog version because the original version - posted on raddle - blocks several countries including the UK due to the online safety act. I didn’t ask anyone for money, it’s just a useful way to host a text that isn’t in-depth enough to put on the anarchist library.

They don’t know who I am, they’re just rejecting an author using a pseudonym and not their real name because they’re not an anarchist and don’t understand security culture.

I’m undecided if I want to keep using it, but it did save me a lot of time. The thing I always struggle with is I rewrite each sentence dozens of times until it feels right because of my OCD. Using that tool, I only had to rewrite the sentences 2-3 times and managed to finish the essay in a day when it usually takes me a full week at least.

You can easily go through my 8+ years of essays that i never used that tool on and see my writing style is consistent. Regardless, I don’t owe you anything, you’re not my boss. I can use a thesaurus or sentence structure formatters if I want.
