Not really the same. Some dreams, the more vivid kind can have smells or feelings. Like the one I had yesterday in which I had cat ears, whiskers, and a tail, and also curiously enough, horns as well. I could run my finger along them and feel the texture in them as well as the warmth in the horns. It was weird.

AI doesn’t have smells, feeling, or textures, or if it did it can’t really give it to you. Only sights and sounds. So they aren’t really the same. Dreams can come in all 5 senses, AI can only channel through 2. Usually just 1.

Most malware is badly written, thankfully. It still does work of course but it isn’t as effective as it could be.

Me being a therian doesn’t imply that either. I have dysphoria related to my species, phantom sensations related to parts I don’t have like big cat ears or a tail. These phantom sensations can be very unpleasant too, downright painful. Also the lack of these parts feels inherently wrong.

I don’t entirely know why I feel like this either, but I found the therian community and related to a lot of similar experiences they’ve had with this.

Isn’t brain sex contested? I mean I’m NonBinary so that already puts me in a weird spot, but also I do indeed have dysphoria related to physical characteristics that don’t have to do with gender like my ears and my tail, or rather lack of them. I actually get phantom sensations and pain, and it can be pretty upsetting and also pretty severe. Tail pain can be excruciating, but there’s nothing physiologically wrong with me (that doctors can tell) that would cause these sensations, nor would explain why I have so much discomfort around the lack of these very non-human traits.

I don’t understand why you are seemingly bothered by who I am

Yeah it shares more in common with a gender identity. For example I do experience a kind of species dysphoria if you will. I even get phantom ears and phantom tail sensations which is unnerving and also just makes me more sad I don’t have those parts.

I’m so glad to see that this has gotten so far. When I saw Ross’ video on it I thought it was probably over. I hope some good change will come of this in the future.

Hate someone for being a bad actor or a bad person but don’t attack based on gender identity. That isn’t attacking them, it’s marginalizing many many innocent people, and it makes them a victim.

Okay so I really don’t like the indirect dysphoria argument because it often can feel like it’s being used to force someone into coming to a conclusion they don’t feel is right for them when they are forced to justify, in this case why they don’t want to be a girl. This happened to me multiple times when being egged by people before learning I was NB and it felt really fucking gross. Don’t try to force people who aren’t willing, it feels terrible.

Both of these are equally justified in my situation being that I do wear pronouns, and I am quite obviously an androgynous enby. So in that manner this type of thing would very much be intentional.

When people do this it’s important to say something to them about it to send the message that what they did is not acceptable, otherwise it sends the message that “corrective misgendering” is acceptable or accepted when it isn’t.
