I was able to get it setup and logging my data locally very quickly. So far everything works just as advertised!

I have a local LLM that I use to create an auto journal of my day, and this was a huge missing piece. Now that it knows where I’ve been out can do a better job of inferring my day.

Thanks for this, it seems to be exactly what I needed! I don’t think I’ll need the pro features, but I’m going to do a year subscription to verify.

In every new parent class I took leaving up to the birth of my daughter, no one EVER mentioned the importance of pulling the little frills out on the legs after changing a diaper.

I heroically volunteered to change her diaper during a hockey game, and when I got back to our seats I handed her off to my wife. About 5 minutes later my wife was covered in pee and asked why I hadn’t pulled out the frills.

That’s a mistake you don’t make more than once… and I try to warn all new parents so they can learn from my mistake.

Agreed… the problem is that the damage is already done and there’s no way to really make it right to the copyright holders so mandating that all AI models and their weights should be treated as public domain would at least help a bit.

I’m very impressed with how long batteries are lasting now. I had a friend buy a hybrid Honda Accord in 2006 or so, and within just a couple of years the batteries were shot and it became just a regular car with decent fuel mileage. That tainted my view of EVs and hybrids for a long time, but a couple of years ago I heard that the batteries had actually gotten much better and they are lasting longer than anyone had really anticipated.

A little over a year ago I bought a used 2018 Chevy Volt, and to this day I’m still getting around 60 miles out of the battery (on a perfect day). It cost me around $20k (after rebates) and I couldn’t be happier.

A few weeks ago I logged into my Ticketmaster account and was told that, due to suspicious activity on my account and to protect me from scalpers, I need to provide Ticketmaster with a copy of my driver’s license to confirm my identity or my account will be locked out. My account is over 22 years old and there has been no suspicious activity on the account. I contacted their customer service to let them know that I’m not going to give them my ID and they need to remove the requirement from my account. Customer service informed me that it simply can’t be done, once an account is flagged the only option is to provide an ID. I then sent them an email letting them know that they either need to provide me with what they consider to be the suspicious activity on my account (again, a 22 year old account that has only ever resold 2 tickets to a single show), or they need to remove the requirement for me to provide an ID, or else I will be contacting the Attorneys General offices in my state as well as in California.

I never received a response to that email, but earlier this week I was getting ready to draft my email to the Attorneys General but first wanted to get a screenshot of the message… and I was pleased to see that they had removed the requirement from my account.

Just to let everyone know, if you have an issue with Ticketmaster you need to ask them to fix it just once, then you can get the Attorney General involved. Be sure to include the California Attorney General since that’s where Ticketmaster is located.

Agreed, I’ve had a lot of fun watching this series, including season 4. I can understand why some people don’t like it, but I really appreciate the silliness with this series.
