The fact that this book starts in 2024 with an election gone wrong is too spot on.
Great read that goes into climate and class issues as well.

Think of it like being diagnosed with cancer. It can be a death sentence but you can also recover with treatment.
We are facing the truth that nothing is permanent in history but change doesn’t always mean death. It’s very scary, but live your life. You have today, make it mean something.
Amazing! Had no idea. Happy to have this out after so many years.
Read as Trick and Treated
Suicide and self-harm were included in the list.

The ones I’ve dealt with in the US in past elections were volunteers. 99% were great, but one was a former candidate and caused all kinds of problems. The clerk ended up removing him in the end.
Also in most states challengers/poll watches are not allowed to speak to voters. If they have concerns they need to talk to the actual poll workers
Really wish every gacha game does this when they close down the online part.
This might line up with their planned Mac and iOS release.
Lemmy sure loves tall girls :)
People really think the government does nothing for them…
Taxes should be reformed not eliminated. So many small communities will be wiped out. I’m open to solutions but it just feels like Trump was hired to try and tank the US so it leaves the global stage.
The issue is that you lose access to that free trial if you sub even for a month.
They already have a F2P model with the free trial. Allowing that or a limited access model for those who give up their subscription would be a nice option. Even a low-scale sub.
The game already had tons of micro-transactions (some mounts cost more than 2 months of a subscription). There’s also a ton of nonsense currencies.
Best part of the game is the community and the world.
Damn so many today :D
Top. That picture on the right is amazing.
I agree. If this game was F2P I would love it. It sucks that you have to buy a subscription and pay for the expansions.
I miss the world but hate the fact that I have to pay for my time. If I have to work long or other stuff comes up that month it feels like a waste.
Plus the subscription is too expensive for what it offers. For $13 you can get a lot of great games on sale and a big selection of indie titles, feels like a better investment.
Bottom. Them legs alone make the choice.
Agreed. Pure amazon
8 day old account… 300 posts. Hmmm…
It took a few tries to get into it. Once you play for a while you realize how much freedom you really have at the start and can make cash and advance pretty easily. I fell in love with the mines. Worked really well since the more you mine the more materials you get to automate farming.
Also if you have someone to coop with do it. Having multiple players makes things fun and easier.
The wiki for the game is amazing and helps a lot starting out.
