Buying a used phone does save resources and stops potential e-waste though.

Just my opinion but, the way the UK does things at the moment is much more flexible. However it could do with a system for abolishing out-of-date, or updated laws.

Perhaps partially. But growing and producing more stuff locally would be better. And perhaps learning to go without stuff out of season might be good both for us and for the planet.
