In legal documents juveniles are aways referred to be initials, so they’re just mimicking that. It is shocking that a news outlet didn’t just report the entire names though since they aren’t legally obligated to protect it like the court is, as long as it’s obtained legally. It’s just really bad practice since most kids eventually mature and move on from stuff like this when given the right environments.
