One day I was complaining to my zen teacher about one of these instances and he suggested I apologize for it. He said “That’s called ‘make mistake, correct mistake’” (I think he made up the saying on the spot for me). Now some twelve years later I’m still reminding myself that I can just correct my mistakes.
