The UK and USA brought charges to the UN and funded the Iraq war though tax money, approved by government. Same WW1I hear what you are saying about the protests and there will always be activism. What you are missing is that the Palestinians did not have any say in starting a war with Israel but Israelis voted and gave their government the authority to respond.
The public, in both cases except with Hamas, gave authorization for war.
