Americans who get mad at this question and who cowardly reply with “whataboutism” are just upset that regardless of what China does or has done in the past, the US is still quantifiably responsible for one of, if not the greatest, crime in human history.
I was reading Palo Alto recently, and the way the book describes how the ethnic cleansing of the indigenous people took place is enlightening. The US has mastered the ability to make its citizens not just complicit bystanders, but active parties in its genocidal operations.
I really don’t think any other settler colony has been quite as successful in making participation with genocide materially beneficial for their settlers as much as the US (Not from a lack if trying obviously).
