Hi, so yesterday I drank some beers and I was driving my e-scooter around midnight at Austurstræti. In front of me there was a Tesla guy driving. He turned right and I tried to pass him from the left side. But he was actually turning left (180°) thats why it appeared he is turning right because he wanted to do full 180 without switching the gears. He didnt use the signal light and he never checked his mirrors to see if anyone is driving behind. I had the lights turned on. We both drove around 25 km/h. When he hit me, all 3 of them came out if the car and got paranoid asking me if I was ok. I still feel some pain but it is nothing serious. At the moment I stood up, he noticed my alcoholic breath and his behaviour changed in a second. He called the police and they took me to the station. They never gave him to blow and they never asked the witnesses what happened. They didnt allow me to record the proces since I was under arrest I wasn’t able to use my phone ( I have the first part recorded until he said I am not allowed to record, and they never told me I was being under arrest until I asked them for the 3rd time about my right to record the process) Since I am not Icelander I am worried what could happen. There is no damage on his Tesla besides a small scratch. First of all, I drive Tesla sometimes and I realy don’t understand how can you not see someone driving behind you with all the cameras and sensors these cars offer. But I might understand the small guy wasn’t focused because of low traffic and the 2 girls that were accompanying him. I want to know, is it still my fault if the cameras show he was driving reckless and I was drunk? I blew 1.22 after having 3 beers. They also took my blood samples which will show THC as well since I am a regular smoker, but yesterday I didnt smoke, in fact I was just on my way to get some x)
