i see this as similar to teaching your family not to click on malware pop-ups. you first make it easier for them by installing adblock. then you teach them how to pirate so they can source their own media. then maybe they’ll pick up some OS skills by learning about file extensions. drip-feeding information that makes them feel smart and autonomous over a long period of time is the way to go in my opinion.
