shit I wasn’t planning on studying mosquitos but now I have to know what the males eat…
IIRC, even the females do not rely exclusively on blood. It’s just necessary for when they’re laying eggs.
I saw that when I looked it up. Nectar and fruit juice being a large part of the diet surprised me
