I said “ok google” and she replied “I can’t find your WiFi. You might want to check your router and connections”. Ok. Fair enough but why did the one in the kitchen start playing arabic music? I don’t even know what Rayan FM is but it says “Stay with us”. Ok, but a please might’ve been nice.

I started the day with multiple packidge notifs and great delight, i end it with no packidge and great aggro.

Bonus aggro: trying to tell a vendor about a serious code issue on their back end and getting shuffled to the AI dumbass repeatedly telling me invalid solutions that assume i’m at fault. Gaaaaaaaaah

I’m going to buy my old laptop off work but it needs a new SSD.

I don’t want to spend too much on a replacement SSD, but I need to balance speed and capacity.

There’s probably no point looking on the second hand market as SSDs just wear out and I’d be buying one with a shorter shelf life vs going new

Got robbed for the first time ever, just some stuff out of the garage. Still unlikely to vote liberal/nationals.

So the rest of the family here missed out on a whole table being delivered. I just brought it in from the front step.

We’ve got one of those Google doorbells so once I find one of the old Home Minis we have kicking around I’m going to set it up in the back half of the house so they can hear the doorbell

Off again today but attended a meeting with the slt of a large national franchise chain.

They were actually pretty funny lol I was surprised how they didn’t have a giant stick shoved up their ass.

Procrastinated biiiig time today but wow, I have to confess, when I finally got around to it… ChatGPT saved me hours of time and heaps of mental energy by spitting out a perfect script that did exactly what I needed it to and I got the thing done in 5 minutes. Even was able to get an instant solution when I initially got an error (it was because my Python path environmental variable had been misconfigured which was an easy fix). And able to get it to explain or run snips of the code to see what the output would be like…

I feel a bit dumber for not figuring it out myself but then again, seriously, I have better things to be doing with my time and brain right now. So excited that this did what I needed!

I’ve tinkered with using AI to help with code and it’s one area I’d trust it with a bit more than anything else. Code is a lot more structured than regular language so it’s harder for AI to just hallucinate an answer. And it helps when you’re somewhat familiar with the language and you’re trying to fix a specific problem.

Old friend asked me the other evening if I missed Carlton.

    I do not.

Carlton Gardens were nice but I think I liked them because there were no front gardens in the streets, it was just terrace houses. Here there are large front gardens every where with all kinds of plantings and designs.

That’s the thing I like about living in the suburbs. There’s a man a few streets away who has filled his garden with beautiful wildflowers and every time I pass it, it makes me happy :)

Got some hot cross buns on clearance from Aldi, for the applie and cinnamon ones for 2 bucks.

I just ate a big bowl of super crunchy chips from the air fryer, oh they were so good, haven’t had them for ages.

I’m watching Underbelly for the first time since it “aired” and we all watched it on bootleg dvds smuggled over the border. Still pretty gripping.

I liked when they fought for the gun like two brothers fighting for a remote. Just both grab it and wriggle.

I’ve changed so much by reducing my adhd medication.

    It’s mind blowing.

Imagine all of a sudden, your crippling social anxiety is gone. Just like that.

    Unreal.
