The Philadelphia Flyers have acquired defenseman Jamie Drysdale and a second-round selection in the 2025 NHL Draft from the Anaheim Ducks in exchange for forward Cutter Gauthier.
For context, Gauthier was selected 5th overall by the Flyers in the 2022 draft. He said at the time that he wanted to play for the flyers, but has since refused to sign with them and doesn’t want to play with them. Last week he won the best forward award in the 2024 WJC. So he’s a great prospect.

Flyers could have used them through a rebuild. Such is life. Something something Kevin Hayes.
