Out of the list, here’s what I can personally speak to:

\97. Danger Street (DC) - Took all the characters from “First Issue Special” in the 70s and kind pf mashed them all together in a single narrative. I enjoyed reading it, but it was a mess narratively.

\95. Peacemaker Tries Hard! (DC) - Just a delight to read. A little weird that it feels like a sequel to the HBO Max show, kind of like the last Moon Knight mini-series.

\88. Doctor Strange (Marvel) - Ever since the Death of Doctor Strange, and the short run “Strange” where Clea took over, been a good read.

\87. Action Comics (DC) - All of the Supes books since the Dawn of DC initiative have been quality.

\79. Barnstormers (Dark Horse) - Originally digital only, then Dark Horse started printing it. 1930s noire detective story.

\69. Fire & Ice: Welcome to Smallville (DC) - DC heroes and villains through an Archie style Smallville filter? Light and breezy.

\63. X-Men Blue: Origins (Marvel) - Finally got Nightcrawler’s origin. One shot.

\59. Superman (DC) - See the note on Action Comics.

\56. Shazam! (DC) - Really leans in to the more insane aspects of the Shazam universe. Talking space dinosaur detectives? Sure! Why not?

\55. Alan Scott: Green Lantern (DC) - I’m just a sucker for anything JSA related. Happy to see it.

\53. Moon Knight (Marvel) - #30 was the final issue, same author is doing Vengeance of the Moon Knight starting this week with Marc Spector’s funeral.

\51. G.O.D.S. (Marvel) - Hickman’s take on a Marvel cosmology above say, Doctor Strange level, but below the likes of Living Tribunal level.

\50. Clobberin’ Time (Marvel) - I read #1, seemed to be a “who would win in a fight” book. Wasn’t to my taste. Actually kind of surprised to see it listed here.

\43. Rare Flavours (BOOM! Studios) - Oh, man, just this bizarre combination of travelogue, recipe book, and psychotic serial killer.

\41. Birds of Prey (DC) - Seems to be getting more abstract issue by issue. I think there’s more going on here than just the narrative as presented.

\39. Superman: The Space Age (DC) - Mike Allred mini with Supes in the 60s. Good read!

\38. The Cull (Image Comics) - This one is almost done, the art is gorgeous. I think there’s one issue left?

\29. Fantastic Four (Marvel) - This one STARTED really well, but fell off a cliff the past few issues. First the art went super weird with Thing’s head just kind of floating over his body, then the writing declined severely. The first, I dunno, 8 or 9 issues were solid.

\22. Green Lantern (DC) - Hal Jordan back in the saddle! Glad to see it!

\21. Human Target (DC) - For my money, best book of the year.

\20. Spider-Man/Spider-Boy (Marvel) - This was the 12 issue run ending with the introduction of Spider-Boy, I’m still ambivalent on it. Weird that both Marvel and D.C. decided to retroactively insert missing kid sidekicks at the same time (see Jay Garrick - Flash).

\19. The Hunger and the Dusk (IDW Publishing) - Very good fantasy book!

\17. Ultimate Invasion (Marvel) - Hickman bringing back the Ultimate universe.

\16. Saga (Image Comics) - I’m the outlier here. I don’t particularly care for the book, it doesn’t really have an overarching story. Things happen to the characters, but none of it seems to have a reason. It’s all random.

\13. Daredevil (Marvel) - The Chip Zdarsky run that ended at #14? Absolutely. It took Matt to places I never thought he’d go. The current run that started with a new #1? Ehhh… not so sure.

\10. Immortal X-Men (Marvel) - One of the few X books I’ve maintained since the Fall of X nonsense.

\6. Wonder Woman (DC) - Starting with WW800 then through the new reboot, one of the best WW story arcs ever done.

\5. Nightwing (DC) - They changed the game when they gave him a puppy back in #78, everything since then has been solid gold.

I guess I’ll follow this with a short one of my own lol.

\73. Batman City Of Madness - I’m digging the Lovecraft Batman, one more otw iirc.

\54. Swan Songs - W. Maxwell Prince, I guess I just like anything this guy does (Ice Cream Man, Haha, Art Brut, Swan Songs). It’s all about suffering in one form or another, all of his work, I hope dude is ok! He’s honestly the reason I’m into comics now and somehow his work pairs perfectly with his typical team of Chris O’Halloran on colors and Martin Morazzo on art (who tbh, isn’t my favorite, but his art just works with that team,) and also pairs just as well with the “different artist every book” style taken in Haha and Swan Songs. One more otw for sure.

\43. Rare Flavours - This one is damn good, I hope it gets picked back up if the story allows. Two more otw iirc.

Welp, I’m out from that list! I’d add Coda, Beneath the Trees Where Nobody Sees, and Faceless and the Family to my list but that’s just me.

Lovecraft Batman sounds fun. And that’s high praise for Swan Songs. Will check these out. Thanks!
