    Clearly a former friend of mine kinda did. Context, I’m a trans guy, and before my egg cracked I was a “butch lesbian” who had already been clocked at least once as trans because I presented like a guy and not a butch lesbian.

    2012, sci fi club room, there’s a small group of us working on homework on our laptops. My friend walks in.

    Friend: Huh, that’s weird, there aren’t any women here.
    Me: Huh?
    Friend: You don’t count.
    Me: ???.. Uh… 😬… 🤯… 🐣

    Three days later:
    Friend: Hey I’ve got something to tell you.
    Me: I’ve got to get to class, can we talk after. Friend: Yeah, but it is really important. Text me right after.

    I walk away thinking “either he is really a she or my BO is really bad”… and I caught up with her after class and she came out as trans. I came out to her three weeks later.

    Kind of. More just I feel uncomfortable being included among the general collection of “boys”.
