I was checking an expired domain website and found me.th was expired. Curious what the registration would cost, I found they cost upward of $3000 to even register for a year.

Might make some sense. They’d have to get 300 registrations at $10 to equal the income of one $3000 registration. Since most “.th” registrations will be niche vanity domains, there’s probably not many people interested in getting it, but there might be a handful of big fish willing to pay big money for one.
I was curious how much the Tuvalu ccTLD would cost so I Changed it to tv and the cheapest is $9.98.
$3000 a year seems like a scam.
