I run software company, but my own background is more about hardware, especially embedded systems.
I know the industrial markets in HCMC quite well. The parts you may use here as a student, hobbyist, or when developing a commercial prototype are a little different than say, North America.
I also have gone through the process of importing electronic components from overseas.
So if you’re a student or hobbyist in VN and trying to learn something, traveling here and want to buy some parts, or just curious where machines are born, ask away.
What sort of software company? I’ll send you a private message 🙂
Nominally, I do prototyping. Software / hardware. I’ve streamlined R&D a lot. I do a lot of fairly random stuff.
Sometimes I can publish the stuff I do (e.g. what’s the point of doing prototyping if you can’t do the odd job for fun for yourself) – you can see some examples at voltage.vn
For bigger software projects, or bringing prototypes to market, I’ve got a relationship with some outsourcing companies that I trust to do a good job. If the job involves some special algorithm or uncommon technology, I just go to their office and train them for a few days.
A lot of my business is big companies trying to get spinoffs off the ground, but not wanting to commit the resources for in-house R&D.
