A54 sounds good because I want to use my phone for as long as I can, and it being waterproof and promising future updates is a plus for me.

However, GT 2 has a really superior hardware. So deciding to go with Samsung a54 seems like a loss. Yet, I am also not a gamer so I doubt if I will ever use that hardware to its fullest.

The two phones are at the same price where I live. Which do you think I should go for?

I was on an A53, will not lie and say it was an A54. However the phones are not much different. My A53 would regularly miss keys I typed, and then assume I swiped between a bunch of keys once it started registering my touches again and would type a random letter. It stuttered when changing apps. Websites performed poorly.

I am now on an S23 FE and it is so, so much better. I am not a gamer on my phone (I have a PC for that) so I don’t know what the S23 FE’s performance is for SoC intensive apps, but the keyboard and camera lag on the A53 were infuriating at times.

Battery and screen were great on the A53. That’s about all I can say nice about it.
