There’s 3 Norwegian flag emojis 🇧🇻🇳🇴🇸🇯 so we beat you there lol. For Norway it’s because there’s the mainland, Svalbard, and Bouvet Island. I assume it’s the same type of situation for the US, 2 different areas using the same flag. Mainland and Alaska maybe? Or Hawaii? Idk, I don’t know much about the US. It’s odd to have flags for the individual areas when they use the same flag tho.
Also FYI, this isn’t Samsung specific, I got it on my non Samsung devices too.
The minor islands flag is the same as the US flag. The distinction was created by ISO in the 1980’s for whatever reason.

One is the US flag. The other is Samsung US flag.
There’s not much of a difference, UM is for the US Minor Outlying Islands, territories under USA, such as Nantucket, Amelia Island etc. and US is for the mainland.
There are NOT two US flags.
One is US and the other UM. They look the same, but mean something else.

UM is the entry for the United States Minor Outlying Islands, while US is the United States of America. Both have the same flag.
