Mine is definitely the trend of doing “catless downpipes” and “resonator deletes” making your exhaust super raspy as a means of gaining more volume rather than doing a proper exhaust setup. Especially since high flow cats these days will flow more hp than most are making.
Rolling coal.
I basically fall into the camp of “do what you want with your car”. Aesthetically at least.
Except things that are just annoying or dangerous to others.
So I guess things like:
- Ridiculously loud exhausts and pop-and-bang tunes just done for noise. If I get stuck behind you in traffic it drives me mental.
- Badly fitted lights like LEDs in unmodified halogen housings that just blind everyone. Also permanently on hazards as DRLs (they’re amber in the U.K. Lot of VW folks seem to wire them to be on (but not flashinng), but at a glance it looks like they’re indicating/have hazards on).
- Chameleon tints. I get why you’d do it, but I just find them distracting and you can’t see the driver at all. That sometimes makes their intentions less clear and you can’t even communicate with hand signals. They’re often coupled with the type of people who never indicate so you can’t even infer their intentions from which way they’re looking.
Some cars can sound OK with a muffler or resonator delete
But I choose stance, anything related to stance
Pin stripes
Angry jeep grills. The friendly face is the toughest part idiots.
/r/heep
Agreed. Jeeps are made to go slow off road (for the most part). There’s nothing angry about driving slow.
I would like more alternative grill designs if everyone didn’t go for the same Darth Vader maw straight off of Wish. I can count on one hand the number of “bored” grill designs I’ve seen and can’t even search for it with how uncommon it is.
Stretched tires, typically on already shitty stanced cars. Add a sticker for their Instagram handle and you’ve got the trifecta of terrible car culture.
Most everything people do to their cars is harmless, but super bright LED headlights pointed straight into drivers’ eyes is downright psychopathic.
You cannot make that mod by accident. You have to consciously adjust the headlight up and to the left to be blinding oncoming drivers at all times.
Pops. Nothing like hearing pow pow pow from the other side of by some douchebag with too much money
Exhaust kits by Maxwell House Racing (Performance to the Last Drop) and “get me away from the unholy pavement” lift kits with the “see twelve counties over” headlight package.
Open dump pipe from the waste gate. Not a fan of the sound.
Burble tunes
Rolling coal fucking sucks

The fake anti-lag tunes all the kids with Focuses (Focii?) and fifth owner Audis have.
The Focus RS pops from the factory, not a mod, and not fake anti-lag.
That’s even stupider, but shows Ford knows their target market.
Stancing.
