I think half of this is expectation management. They were never going to be the team that Fergie had, getting top two every season as at least an aim.

Now they just need to aim for Top 4/5 and rebuild internally. Come back stronger. They have the image and the brand and the fans globally that will follow them whatever. Stop trying to be a Fergie team and be a new age club with good values and go from there.

They really need new owners for a start who actually care about the stadium and the club. They don’t need money thrown at them, but someone who cares about football.

It’s literally impossible to dominate and win matches comfortably if don’t work at least just as hard as the other team. Every match we get outrun, outtackled, lose double the 50/50s as the other team.

These players have thrown 3 (maybe 4) managers under the bus. They’re doing exactly the same now. Do you think EtH is telling Rashford and Garnacho to not track back and double up on opposition wingers? Or McTominay to jog around the pitch like he’s a Scholes regen?

There’s no point firing another manager, just to have the same players who will throw the next one under the bus too. EtH can be a fantastic manager and we know that. But he has to be brave to save his job. We know we’re gonna lose matches anyway. At least start moving the club in the direction you want it to go, instead of playing survival football.

I feel like having a clear style of play is so important, that can then drive your recruitment and even if you are not getting the results currently, you can still have faith in the process as long as you can see some progress.

United have no direction, I know Ten Hag says they are following a plan but I dont think any United fan can tell us that plan. They allowed De Gea to leave for a ball playing GK but dont play out of the back, they bought Ambarat whos not really a ball playing DM, he keeps benching Varane. Feels like he’s sacking himself

I agree here, and this is the difference between them and say Real Madrid.

If you play with that little effort at the Bernabeu, you are getting benched until you’re sold at the first opportunity. Simple as that.

I used to think bruno had piss-poor body language and dragged on team morale and was a poor captain. Now I get it: how can you not be frustrated by these teammates, when you’re actually giving a shit on the pitch?

I’m a firm believer that you need to give a manager time (usually at least 3 years) to get his players into the team and teach his system to them. But my God United are so hopelessly dysfunctional and I really don’t see the light at the end of the tunnel, I think ETH has to go.
