Good evening folks, new LCD Steam Deck owner here! Just wanted to say thanks to the Valve team for implementing the ability to micro-adjust the haptics of your own Deck. I had read countless stories of people having issues with their Steam Decks but I had only two. One that would bother me and one that would not. I have a slightly mushy left trigger but the main issue was imbalanced haptics. As someone who is slightly (probably more than that) OCD this was really grating but through tinkering I am now 100% satisfied with my Deck.
That said, I need game suggestions! Any would be appreciated, I am currently on Fallout: New Vegas, Portal 2 and Warhammer 40K: Space Marine.
The Messenger, Huntdown, Tinykin, SpongeBob BfBB, SpongeBob Cosmic pants, Inside, Trine 1-5, Biomutant, Golf club Wasteland (amazing atmosphere, love this game, relaxable), Street of rage 4, HiFi rush, Star Wars the Skywalker Saga, Hat in time, Niko, Yoku’s Island Express, Psychonauts 2, Bastion, Gris.

I am playing Sanabi and Cocoon (Xbox pass cloud). Both are very enjoyable.
I have my copy of New Vegas modded with Tale of Two Wastelands. Runs great on the Steam Deck! I recommend it!
Is modding on linux any different?
Control.
Backpack hero.
Been playing this a bunch lately as well, got it in the sale specifically to play on the SD. Plays very well for the most part, with some little issues here and there that are easy to work around, like using the touchscreen to navigate some of the menus instead of the physical buttons because they don’t quite work in that instance.
Cobalt Core, Witcher 3, Emulation
My favourite micro-adjustment of the haptics is turning them off. I found the OLED thumbpad haptics to be too strong even on low. I didn’t mind it on the OG SD but on the OLED I had to turn them off.
Mad Max, Prey (2017), Control, Death Stranding. Games that I can personally vouche for on the deck. Run amazing and look amazing.
hollow knight is so fire
Yakudza series
World of warcraft?
LCD Steam Deck user here,
In regards to the haptics, I love the idea of them. Seeing them in the promotional stuff online got me really excited about it. I still love them now, however when I got my deck, the feeling of the haptics on my thumbs felt too weird against my thumbs to the point that I have barely used them for anything but the desktop mode. The constant little vibration it does just sends shivers down my spine.
I would love to use them I just can’t get over that feeling though. :(
My right trigger does a wacky sound when I press or half-press it, this is bad unless I play with a headset
I am loving midnight suns. Been a really fun game with a great story if you like Marvel. I kept putting it off because it is a deck building game but it doesn’t feel like a deck building game. Wish I bought it earlier.
