I just received my OLED LE and after signing in and getting it set up, I did the various tests of issues I saw in this Reddit.

Absolutely no issues. I first checked all buttons. Every button feels as it should (I had an LCD Deck previously) and all buttons function. Then I checked what panel it has, and confirmed it’s BOE. Then did the scariest text last…dead pixels. Absolutely no dead pixels.

I had the feeling that the amount of people saying they had problems with their LE Deck just appeared higher in comparison to the amount of LE Decks actually shipped out. So this is a positivity post for those worried about their LE Decks that there are in fact LE Decks with no issues! 😁

    My personal experience.

-LCDeck (Flawless, aside from fan failure after 1 year of use, I replaced myself.)

-Limited Edition OLEDeck (RMAing immediately due to dead pixels)

If the selling point of your refreshed model is the screen, and I already own an LCDeck. There better not be a single dead pixel on a 1280x800 screen. It’s glaringly obvious it’s defective whenever I attempt to use it. Can’t look past it because the pixel is full dead, and in the middle of the display.

I can understand some dead pixels slipping by QA in larger panels (4k) and bigger batches but this is just poor poor poor poor QA.

I expected more out of the Limited Edition model.

I’m out here laughing at all the posts about just putting Vaseline on your deck for stuck buttons and not RMAing for dead pixels.

You all got to be smoking crack if you think I’m spending 679.99 on a handheld device with ANYTHING wrong with it.

You have been using LCDs for only a few years or what? The amount of bleed was common among all LCD screens a decade+ ago.

My old LG 17’’ 4:3 lcd was nothing but bleed in the 2000’s

yeah backlight bleed from a decade ago, the LCD Deck is worst than that. it is the worst offender of bleed of any device i have ever used.
