Walked into my local Porsche dealership today. “Southwest Florida” told the sales manager I’d like to order a 911 GTS, I’m ok with waiting. I’ve bought multiple cars from the same “auto group” who owns this dealership as well. Dude told me it’ll be 50k over MSRP, but because I’m local he might work with me. After I told him I’d buy my wife a cayenne he came down to 20k. Is this guy absolute high? Or is this really still the case for Porsche? Bought multiple vehicles this year at MSRP “hard to get ones”

For $20,000 over you can fly out to visit, buy the car from anywhere and ship it wherever and take the remaining money for a holiday anywhere in the world you like. Silly charging so much.

I am surprised if you even get a slot for a GTS build. Our dealer is out of GTS slots since a year and a half.

$50k? Absolutely not. I’m pretty sure Porsche is trying trying different tactics to avoid this to stop flippers from gouging people but the dealership? I absolutely would not buy anything from this dealership that’s trying to screw you.
