    a 62 kWh battery pack (such as that in a tesla 3) would theoretically come out to $8,600 using this figure

    right in the equivalent ballpark range of putting in a new ICE motor

    hopefully costs of reman/refurb battery packs will become even cheaper than $139/kWh

      Then why does it still cost $20K to install a 14kWh Tesla Powerwall? I’m actually more excited about the prospect of home batteries becoming more affordable. I think the cars are already there, out at least closer enough to ICE cars when it comes to affordability. The problem is they’re only making big expensive EV’s. The Chinese have shown they don’t have to be.
