I realize Steam Deck is not a young kids gaming platform, but my 1st grade twin girls loved Hogwarts Legacy so much they asked Santa for their own PC so they don’t have to share mine.

Now that I’ve got two Decks in front of me, I realize most of these games require literacy level above that of a 7 year old 1st grader.

Hogwarts only requires reading the dialog options. Which they can sound out, and realize the first one is normally ok. But even “Lego Brick Tales” requires a modicum of reading.

Do you guys have some good game options for the illiterate among us? Thanks.

My fav kids game of all time is pajama sam. I forget which one but there is a fully compatible pajama sam game.

Also side note: (coming from a Dyslexic person) the steam deck could help reading!!! When i was a kid, i really wanted to play jrpg and pokemon games. My parents would only get me a new jrpg game if i told them what happened in the game to prove i read it. Just some food for thought.
