Best way to clean inside headlights?

I’ve taken the whole headlight unit off of our car, and a lot of the watertight seal has eroded/isn’t fitting properly. Is there any way to take off the front plastic of the headlights to clean underneath it without having to remove the seal and reseal it?

If the reflective coating is flaking, you’ll need to replace the unit.
