Perhaps I didn’t do enough research into the expected performance for some beefier titles that i have in my library, but why is 30FPS the norm?!
Seems like people set the bar for whether a game runs well on deck or not to be 30FPS. That’s ridiculous… 30FPS is peasantry. Aren’t we PC gamers?!

I think your expectations are a bit off. 30FPS isn’t the norm. 30 FPS is the minimum playable framerate, for about 95% of games. 40FPS is usually the agreed upon target rate for the deck, as 40fps/40hz screen actually plays quite well.
60 and above is just amazing.
But like, it’s a handheld dude. It uses 25w total MAX. That’s less than most gaming laptop’s gpu alone. For what it does the steam deck is actually pretty insane, performance wise.
