From November 28 to December 8, Apple is partnering with The Global Fund to help combat HIV/AIDS. During this limited-time initiative, Apple will donate $1 to The Global Fund for every purchase made using Apple Pay on Apple.com, through the Apple Store app, or at any Apple Store.
No one is contesting the million dollar that is definitely good. My point is that the New header sounds much better than the actual plan. They are overselling it and capping it to a low value. therefore it’s (to me) a bad marketing campaign. I’m not talking about the good things being done.
If they didn’t cap it they might actually end up donating money to the charity at the end of the year when they do their tax write offs. All companies keep a low cap to avoid actually donating. That’s why they ask customers to donate instead of just donating themselves because that donation they use to pay off their taxes.
