What’s the best way to make car mirrors water proof?

I am very new to the world of cars. I bought my first car 1 months ago. Everything was going smooth until rain happened. I used everything as per the local car people. First i tried the RainX. Doesn’t work. Then i tried WD-40 (smh) still nothing. Then i bought those rain films, plasticy thingy from amazon and it worked for a while but soon they started to get wrinkly and was no use.

I am done trying experimenting. Can someone please tell me how to rainproof car mirrors and windshield properly. I have a 2022 Nissan Kicks if that helps.

Aquapel is a hydrophobic glass treatment product. You can buy it online. Last for about a year.

  Unfortunately not. It’s the very basic trim.
