Is this really what they should be addressing?
Yeah brilliant give refs even more power to affect the outcome of games
So what happens if we get 5 cynical fouls in 5-6 minutes? Minimum number of players is 7. So what then?
Rodri liked this
Uefa and fifa mafia have destroyed football. Fuck this shit
Great news!!! These prima Donna’s need to be checked. They should also put the divers in the bin for a minimum of 5 minutes. Surely they stop and the game will be better. It’s quite embarrassing to watch them play for a free kick or penalty. Play the game as it’s supposed to played
Just stop fucking with the game. Ever since VAR came in the amount of focus on officiating and checking for millimetres of difference has really taken a lot of magic out of it. This will only add more complexity which they can’t manage.
I agree fully. I’m of the opinion var is what needs to be shown the bin.
Then we get more blatant fouls and offside calls being missed. Who’d want to go back to that world?
Me. The game has worked for longer than both of us have been on this earth.
With many, many changes to the laws. Also this argument is a fallacy.
Candles worked for centuries but we still shouldn’t go back to them.
Have you seen a game recently without VAR? It drives you up the wall. Can’t undo it.
Actually yes and I enjoy it. Sure, there’s questions about calls, but how is that different from now?
Sport is human. Played by humans and officiated by humans. It’s never going to be perfect and I honestly enjoy that aspect.
You literally had a woman’s CL game last week without VAR where Chelsea conceded a penalty for a foul clearly outside the area and then were denied a winner for an offside that was onside.
There were no questions about these calls - they were flat out wrong. VAR gets far fewer calls flat out wrong.
Just enforce the rules we have now consistently. Lets work out whats working by following the rules first?
Those rules are not enough when players gladly take the punishment of receiving a yellow instead of conceding a goal. It’s not that “they don’t get booked 100% of the time”. That’s the entire point. If they 100% get booked, it’s still worth it.
This will just result in more people crying about subjective fouls - why did that tackle get an orange card but this tackle didn’t?.
Adding even more subjectivity into the game for fans to cry about isn’t the answer.
Crying? You mean the Prima Donna’s crying over being fouled. They should Bin them for 5 minutes and given a yellow card to boot. I’m sure they would stop diving for a penalty or free kick. The world flow a lot better and would not be as embarrassing as it has come to be
