Got bored of using Android for so many years. I still switch between iPhone and Samsung and currently I’m using the S23 Ultra, but I might switch back to iPhone because it has USB-C now.

Because if I drop my phone and my battery pops out I ln front of my peers. I may be on suiscan watch then

GarageBand. I love being able to mess around with music and making instrumentals at any time. Also it makes it easier in group chats because all my friends have iPhone. My favorite OS/phone was the OnePlus though.

I have a mac and enjoy the apple eco system. I have no problems with android. I like the google pixel too

I came from Android phones and windows machine because in my 20s i like to customize everything and game a lot on PC.

Im 35 now, i have wife and kids. i have a career to progress. I have no time and desire to do any of the above-mentioned in the first paragraph . I just need something that just works. iPhone, iPad and macbook just work…… majority of the times.

When something glitches out, give it a reboot and 99% of the time it fixes it self. Gone are days troubleshooting just to install something and ending up breaking some other things which leads to reformatting.

The optimization in iPhone and mac is just another level. Even on my old iPhone SE 2nd gen, majority of the apps are still buttery smooth and rarely crash.

And the way all apple devices integrate with each others are almost magic and works 99% of the time. But then you will be locked in the ecosystem and will be the slave of Apple for the rest of your pathetic life.

Because I don’t have enough money to buy android phone yet

I bought iphone 13 after 6 months of launch, i bought it because of its video quality, because i create content with it, so basically its an asset for me instead of mehenge phone waali baat chit

My dad gifted them. Why I keep it? Clout, nothing else. Also I can’t really say I don’t like it when it’s such an expensive gift.

Other reasons I thought I’d keep it for: battery - people said it has ridiculous battery but it honestly doesn’t, barely lasts a day for me. I’d much rather have ridiculously fast charging. Performance - again, I’ve noticed frame drops and it does heat up, so it’s not as good as it’s hyped to be.

Support. The iPhone has longer support than anything Google puts out. And Apple has a history of supporting it and Google has a well known history of changing directions and dropping commitments. iPhones are expansive but amortize over the typical 5+ years that my iPhones are used for, they are cheaper than androids. My typical cadence used to be upgrade every year and hand me down the old phones to family. But now that cadence is more like 3 years since the phones. My youngest niece (11 yrs old with type 1 diabetes) still uses my iPhone 6S+ for the simple games and has her mom on the contact list. If her sugars are low she can always get a hold of her mom to come rescue her.

Apple is invested in keeping this platform updated.

I started using Android phones back in 2011. I had multiple devices that became simply irrelevant due to no meaningful system updates. Back in the day, almost every app that you cared about using required consistent updates to stay usable. At that time, I thought it was ludicrous that anyone would pay $200+ for a phone. I waded through the swamp of cheap Android phones for several years and finally got the Nexus 4 (secondhand; well after the Nexus 5 was already out). I loved it for about 6 months, until it didn’t get the latest Android update.

I jumped on the Nexus 6P at launch and used it for almost two full years. It met the same demise in terms of eventually stopping updates. This was Google’s flagship device. That soured me entirely on the Android platform at that point.

My next purchase was the iPhone 8. I never looked back. I will never purchase another Android in a market where the iPhone exists.

Using iPhone 13 mini. Couldn’t find any other compact flagship. It’s one of best things I bought.

One of the biggest arguments for android was/is its open ecosystem but it seems like every single major android developer is trying to make its own closed ecosystem like Apple. Might as well stick with the company that does that best.

Apple eco system

I used to work in telecoms and was selling the first iPhone on day 1. Had always been an Apple fan but I held off until the 3GS as I found it insane it launched (especially in the UK) without 3G.

The return rate with Android devices compared to iPhone was immense. I’ve spent plenty of time using all sorts of other devices but the iPhone always came out on top - camera, integration (iTunes through to handover), performance, security.

Admittedly I’m bored of how iOS looks and feels, and wouldn’t mind trying an Android again but I find it hard to believe it would be as good or better for the money, especially now that the top Android devices are in the same spectrum as the latest iPhone. I’m also heavily invested in the ecosystem (Mac, iPad, watch, pods).

I got into a car accident and needed a new car and bought a Toyota. At the time, I also needed a new phone and the Toyota only had Apple’s Car Play feature instead of both that and Android Auto like other cars. So I got an iPhone in order to take advantage of the new car feature.

I’m not an iPhone die hard. I was an android user (Google Pixel was my last phone before iPhone and before that I had Samsung) and wouldn’t mind going back to a Samsung/Google Pixel. As long as the camera is great (I love taking pictures of everything and everyone around me) and I can message people, it’s all good.
