Ran into a corporate ex of Toyota who oversees the LC and he said their goal with this new generation is that it will be a vehicle that will have a 25 yr life span with repairs being made only by hand tools. They want this to truly go back to their roots and be a vehicle that is once again used in safaris, deserts and other areas where shops are not readily available.
Not sure how hard/ easy a hybrid engine is to work on but sounds encouraging.
If by new landcruiser you mean the 70 series, then I could believe that. If you mean the 300, then I’m calling BS corporate BS if they mean this new Prado then also calling BS
Must be the 70 because that has always been designed for the 25 year lifespan.
