    The last time I trusted a guy with a shovel, a wrench, and a septic tank (it was a foundation, actually, but whatever) it ended up costing more to fix what he fucked up than it would have to just hire an accredited professional

    Yeah, boomers only needed a shovel, a wrench, and a septic tank, and boomers accidentally drank each others shit far too often because of it

    Regulations are usually written in blood.

    These exist to stop fly by night operators from leaking shit everywhere. Written in sewage, you could say.

    The guy complaining about this is 100% the guy who would dump it in a creek to save money on disposal costs.

      Most regulations are written in blood. Others are written by lobby to keep new competition out of a market by making the entry-fee enviable for small scale operations. Some are just written because whoever in charge hasn’t worked a day in their life and has no clue.

      Most are written in blood, though. Don’t fuck with septic tanks.
