Just my opinion but to OP asked about Jetta. I think the 2011 to 2015 VW TDI engines were great. Sadly VW cheated and ruined a good thing.
I am fond of the TDI Jettas.
That’s what I’m driving and been the best and most reliable car I’ve ever had 11 TDI ! Told him to buy 2015 TDI but went with 2024 Jetta SE.
VW Corolla or civic. Why does it need to be vw?
He just wanted a Volkswagen and a lot cheaper then those other 2.
If you have plenty of time to reach your destination, a TDI.
