I would normally remove comments using the r-word, hut for those unaware, this is basically a paraphrased quote from the Ghost Stories dub that was mentioned. It was definitely a product of its time and would never be able to be made like that today.
It’s definitely… questionable in it’s content choices. I’m autistic and a member of the plus sign mafia. I’m not personally offended by any of the content, but there’s definitely stuff for a wide variety of groups to get mad at. It’s very 2000s. I don’t know if it caused any harm, but I don’t get the feeling that anyone meant for it to. Honestly, I unironically enjoy it. Maybe it’s better that it’s never coming back though.

It should just get remade for real, outside the USA this anime is considered very good, it was a myth to defend that dub.
