I may have found the right 997.1, but the dealer from which I would be purchasing it told me it appears to have high flow catalytic converters and an x-pipe, and that it wouldn’t be emissions-compliant in California. Lucky for me, I’m not in California, but I’m also not all that familiar with Pennsylvania (my state) emissions rules. Is this something that could be an issue for me? And how would these items change the performance and sound of the car? Thx!

    Sadly I’ve been in this exempt category with my 992 and previously an R8, but possibly relevant for you so sharing…

    Vehicles driven less than 5,000 miles during the 12-month period immediately preceding the inspection and have been owned by the same owner for one year or more. A new vehicle, being titled and registered for the first time and has less than 5,000 total miles on the odometer.
