Start/Stop Feature Question

I own a 22 Civic Sport and it has the Start/Stop feature. I don’t like this feature personally but I have to remember to turn it off everytime I get in the car. There has been a couple times that I would turn the feature off after I have already came to a stop and it’s turned off the engine and I would feel like I turned the feature off too soon, basically right as it was in the process of turning the engine off. Will this damage the engine at all?
