Looking to pick up a '07 Acura TL with 90k on the clock from a family member and drive it back home (1,000mi away). Going to do a bunch of maintenance once home including the timing belt. Acura says 105k or 7 years on the timing belt. Bad idea to drive this thing 1,000mi on a 15 year old timing belt? Car has not been subject to harsh temps and was garaged it’s entire life, but is in a salt air (CA coast) environment if that matters. Trying to figure out if I should just pay the $750 to ship it instead. Thanks!

Your belt should have been changed twice in the period of time it has lived, so now is the time to do it.
