Well Lampard,Gerrard,Scholes are often credited that one of them is greatest midfielder ever in PL.Also Kevin de bruyne falls in their category for obvious reasons. As a chelsea fan ill choose lampard over others but i love kevin too because i have not seen a better passer than him in world apart from messi. I just wanna know your opinions on what u think who is the Greatest?
Lampard might be the best goal scoring midfielder of all time, but I feel he was only really at his best when he had two other midfielders doing a lot of the leg work (makalele/essien/ballack/Mikel etc) so for me from an overall impact point of view I think he just misses out on the top table. For me Keane, Viera, Gerrard, Scholes, Yaya, KDB. Special shout out to Modric and Alonso too.
When you put up the goals and assists Lampard did it’s obvious he’ll need other midfielders to do more of the dirty work; I think I’d probably go for KDB myself but the same can be said for him, he wouldn’t have been half as good as he’s been if it wasn’t for Fernandinho and Rodri… That doesn’t take from them; that’s literally just how football works, it is a team sport.
