I’m wondering… If the screen in the steam deck has to stay ON while downloading games unless you dock it… Is there any risks for the SteamDeck OLED display to burn while downloading games or has valve put any measurements to solve this?

    Not exactly same as the video, because SD OLED has HDR 1000, technology it will burn in faster if you are playing an HDR game and leave a bright content on the screen at the same spot long enough. But it will be only temporary, it will recover by itself after a while as long as you don’t leave it two straight years like in the video.

    Go to desktop mode and set the screen to timeout. The Deck will even sleep when it finishes.
