With vcenter you can change the hardware the vm is running with one click and manage all from the same place.

You could install esxi it has license keys on guthub, a network surveillance with zabbix (free), vcenter license keys in github. With vcenter you can change the hardware the vm is running with one click and manage all from the same place.
