Been using an iPhone for the last few years and the battery is getting pretty bad. Few people I know have the FP4 and are happy with it so I’ve considered buying the new 5. Here on Reddit I see a few complaining about bugs, problems, etc. that are occurring.

So what I’m trying to ask is, how bad are issuers occurring and how many users are reporting these issues? Is it worth buying a FP5 or should I rather get another phone like a google pixel?

This reads like a dog whistle shit post on Fairphone tbh.

“Should I exercise regularly and eat healthy” or “should I drink beer all day and eat pizza”?

Bro, if you like beer and pizza go for it. Don’t ask the health nuts if it’s OK.

I have no complaints. But, be sure you know what you’re buying. It’s a modular phone with a focus on longevity and as ethical a supply chain as they can affect.

The trade-off is that you’re paying as much as you would for a better-spec phone. So, as long as you go in eyes wide open on that then I think you’ll be happy enough with the choice.

I had an iPhone XR and got a FP5. The bugs, the low quality and very poor performance led me to send it back and use my 5 year old iPhone XR.

Many of my colleagues warned me about the bad quality but I had to learn it the “hard” way :/

But that is just my personal experience!

only people having issues. those without issues don’t go yelling on social media, they just move on with their lives. what you see on reddit are exceptions, not the norm

I’ve had an FP5 (Murena - /e/OS) for about 3 weeks now. The only issue I’ve encountered was a sudden switch-off where it could only be restarted by putting the battery out and back in again. Other than that, it works very well, but then I don’t do that much with it.

The accessibility shortcut keeps reverting to disabled state, but from what I have read it’s mire an android issue than FP5 specifically. Other than that, I have had no issues.

Hope you are ready for the iOS - Android switch, it’s quite brutal. But just fine if you find the motivation.

Not bad at all, my FP5 has been rock solid

At the begining the bluetooth was a bit week, but that has since disappeared.

0 issues for me. Battery life seems a bit limited but not problematically so (I also cap charge at 80%)
