Literally only profits. Tim is driven by profits, not innovation. It might catch up with him if relations with China don’t improve.
M O N E Y
To save (them) money. You probably didn’t need them anyway. But also, to save money.
Money 💸
- Profit.
- They can stick more phones per pallet when shipping, meaning less containers, and more profit.
- Do you really need a new charger and set of earphones every time you buy a phone? I’m still using the USB-C-to-lightning cable that came with my iPhone 11 Pro.
- It does reduce e-waste to a degree.
main reason is cost for shipping and saving money. reasoning behind it is because everyone has a set of headphones and everyone has a power adapter already, why ship out more? you can ship almost double the phones resulting in about half the money spent on shipping. not to mention not having to make more adapters and headphones.
Money
Greed
Unnecessary waste and it saves money.
It’s almost about the money.
Because most of us have a box full of power adapters and headphones that we don’t need.
Everytime Apple doesn’t raise the price, they need to make up the inflationary costs somewhere. If boxes weigh less and/or can fit more in a cargo container, they are gonna do it.

You can call whatever you want, you’d be wrong.
Money obviously. Same reason the rest of the companies copied them. None of them care about the environment lol.
To cut the price of the phone. The cheapest AirPods is $130, brick $20. That’s $150 off then you can buy both for 1/3 the price on Amazon.
