Cause the main page claims support for Win11 my question is: Are there any caveats for using Windows 10?

Win 10 works, but you miss out on performance because you are missing the CPU scheduler enhancements for recent generations of Zen. Also Windows 10 is not officially supported by Framework so the level of support you get may be limited. Basically, use at your own risk.

I went with 11 for the aforementioned issues. Originally wasn’t planning on it, but when I saw that 10 wasn’t supported, and that there were performance concerns with it, I bit the bullet and installed 11. Have been pleasantly surprised by it. Followed the FW guide for upgrading the main board (from my 11th gen), and it went pretty smoothly. No online account needed either (use Rufus to make the boot media and remove that requirement). I may even change my desktop machine over to it.

Incidentally, Stacksocial has Win 11 Pro right now for $25. Cheapest you’ll find it anywhere.

Just use Windows 11. Its inevitable that if you use Windows, you will need to go to 11 anyway, so why fight it. It will ultimately have better modern driver support and handles modern chips more efficnently than 10 does.

I have 10 on my work laptop and 11 on my Framework–using my work laptop feels like a step backwards. 11 does have some things that take getting used to, but once you get familiar it, 10 feels like using grandma’s pc.
