Looking for those games that you may have heard about but never tried until you got a Deck. Or old games on systems you never had that you’re trying for the first time. Or new AAA games that just released in the last year or two that you picked up for the first time specifically to play on Steam Deck and have kept you glued to the device.
I’m trying to reinvigorate my old, nostalgic love of gaming and hoping to find the perfect Steam Deck + addicting game combo.
Farming Simulator 22. ONE MORE PASS
Been loving finally trying The Last of Us. It plays super well and I find it immersive as hell. Fantastic story too.
Yakuza 0.
I have Xbox one x but the games are still expensive and my brother always play with the console (+uni student so i dont have that much time). But when i bought Deck, I found yakuza 0 for 8 eur and I really love it. The story is perfect, sometimes so absurd (which i like it), the characters are interesting and it looks so good. Not a new game but the graphics are beautiful for a 2015 game
Necesse
Mother 3 was this game for me.
A game I had been hearing about for years, especially around Nintendo Directs. I decided to finally play it and couldn’t put it down. Even when fighting the bass guitar.
Dredge and Tunic for me, and dredge has its first little dlc launching today that I’m excited to try. Dredge was the first game in ages I actually got all achievements for because it didn’t overstay it’s welcome.
Bricktales, where you build random lego structures and move around in a lego diorama… God I love it so much.
Dying Light is a fucking blast. There’s something about the first-person free running on a screen that close to your face. The story itself is meh, but the gameplay and fighting had me glued. No idea how DL2 runs, but 1 was acceptable, if a bit fan and power heavy
Dead Cells. I always thought about picking it up but never did. Then I got my Deck and saw it on sale, now it’s my go to game when I’m traveling or have like 5-10 minutes to play something.
Katana zero
I already know Ima get hate, but I never gave cyber punk a fair try until the deck. and wow it’s been a great play through
Half sword. Free demo only right now but it’s so fun
Roboquest! FPS Roguelike, it’s very addicting.
Kingdom two crowns. I owned and never played until I got a SD. Then I was obsessively playing it XD
Gearshifters
