My nominations:

2018-2019: Probably the best for me; Liverpool’'s tight escape from the group stage and then the Anfield comeback. Tottenham’s tie with City and then coming back against Ajax. Ajax devouring Real fearlessly. Only thing weak was that boring final.

2009-2010: This one had absolute bangers; Man Utd vs Milan and Man Utd vs Bayern were the absolute standouts. Inter’s journey was pretty badass as well, especially against Barcelona. Seeing Jose eating Pep like that was pretty special.

2011-2012: Chelsea’s journey was even more badass considering they were in such a messy season. Also, Bayern somehow knocking out one of the greatest Real sides to ever exist. And Chelsea dispatching Messi in his best year. Plus, the final was amazing.

2021-2022: I would include this one because it was hilarious; Ancelotti dropping his eyebrow and his side would automatically pull the most unlikely comeback to ever exist. Also, Villareal’s deep run was pretty amazing, absolute giant slayers.

2003-2004: This one, I admit that I was to young to remember but damn!! Porto and Deportivo knocking out those absolute monster squads that Man Utd and Milan had. Also, Monaco was fire, and coupled with the fact that Greece won the Euros that year, I think it’s safe to say that 2004 was the year of the underdogs.

    definitely 18/19. So many great games and iconic moments. All the comebacks, the different storylines like CR7 at Juve, Ajax, Spurs making the final, Messi and Barca looking so dominant until Anfield among other things. Best season of all time

    2018/19 tbh

    ajax making a comeback against madrid

    then knocking out juve in quarters

    then bottling a 3-0 lead in 2nd half of 2nd leg

    united defeating psg at paris with a last minute comeback

    one of the greatest individual performance by messi (he carried that barca team)

    ronaldo’s hattrick sealing a comeback against atletico

    ofc liverpool’s comeback and corner taken quickly

    2017/18 - genuinely crazy good for multiple reasons.

    2021/22 - crazy run, crazy games, amazing storylines

    2014/15 - I think people undervalue how dominant that barca team felt. The first game against bayern and the game in paris are two of the best matches I’ve seen with some of the best football ever played. And even the juve run was CRAZY

    In 14/15 barcelona played peak football in practically every second of knockout stage, eliminated the previous season’s ligue 1, Bundesliga and premier league champions, then won the final against the serie A champion. Juventus had an absurd team with tevez, morata, pogba, pirlo, buffon and so on, eliminated Madrid on the semi-finals when it looked like the final was going to be an El clasico. There was a plethora of absurd goals, both in knockout and group stage. I’m nostalgic just thinking about it.

    2006 champions league final Barcelona win was the best with Van Persi red card in the first half for not hearing the whistle in the roaring stadium. Only time Arsenal made it to the final, but Barcelona won it fair and square, red card fully deserved, ref didn’t help Barca at all, loved it

      van Persie was in 2011 lol, and was in knockout stage. I think Arsenal GK got sent off in the final.

    2016/17 was an amazing UCL season for various reasons:

    1. Real Madrid become the first team to ever win back to back UCL titles.
    2. La Remontada (Barcelona 6-1 PSG, after losing 4-0 in the first game).
    3. Kylian Mbappe introducing himself to the world of football. And he did it in style.
    4. Monaco reaching the semis, with Mbappe, Falcao, Bernardo Silva, Fabinho, Ben. Mendy, Bakayoko, Lemar. Iconic underdog team.
    5. Juventus’ team was iconic as well, that run was the last dance in the competition of so many great players: Buffon, Dani Alves, Higuain, Marchisio etc. Dybala was one of the best players in the world back then.
    6. Leicester City in the UCL quarter-finals. Do I need to say more?
    7. Bayern 10-2 Arsenal in two games.
    8. The top scorer battle. When the round of 16 games ended, Messi had scored 11 goals and Ronaldo had scored only 2. After the final, it was Messi 11, Ronaldo 12. Truly iconic.

      The first half of that season’s final was actually so good with the Mandzukic goal to top it all. Then Juve dissapeared :) in the 2nd half/ Modric & Ronaldo decided to take the game by the neck.
